Michael, this is how I work up my tags and a start on a list for your Owl painting. First of all specifically identify the type of owl you have painted. I think it’s a Great Horned but there are some other owls that are very similar. If they are similar enough name all of them. A Wiki search for “Great Horned Owl” gives me his scientific name along with other common names he is sometimes called. Add them to your list. Do a couple of general FAA searches. Search for both “owl” and “Great Horned Owl”. Each search gives me a selection of Tags running down the left side of the screen that other artists have used. I pick out the ones that pertain to my image. That would probably be enough but I’ve added a few more…don’t forget common misspellings of a word…notice gray and grey on the list. If I still have space, then I add in plurals...owls, birds, owl portraits.
